Getting everyone the mental health they need, when they need it

Monarch’s mission is to be both a connection point for all people seeking solace, insight, and resources, and an efficient, effective channel for navigating the often daunting experience of finding treatment for behavioral and mental health. As a new company, they were in search of a unique brand identity. I worked closely with Paladar Studio to develop the brand identity for launch.

The logo was inspired by the transformation and flight path of a Monarch butterfly and a color palette and type system was developed to create a welcoming and flexible system. The expressive typography emphasizes storytelling and a pattern language adds depth and warmth to the brand. The heart of the brand is in the illustration. The exceptional Rebecca Clarke was brought on to help translate the portrayal of everyday people and build out a library of custom portraits, scenes, and spot illustrations.
